A new Portal has begun !

Filed under: Portal of Janus — Tags: , — Lee T. Davy @ 4:13 pm

The REAL STORY has
begun already in a parallel time line !

Today I began a class for an Author of a REAL NOVEL which is a work in progress.

Portal of Janus

A Novel by P. W. Nalbandian

This story began in September of 2011 at a Buddy meeting in Acton at a pizza house !

New London Style Pizza - W Acton, MA - 978.263.3033

WE ARE PLEASED TO HAVE SERVED THE PEOPLE OF OUR COMMUNITY FOR OVER 35 YEARS . . . THANKS! — THE BOTTOS FAMILY

That story began earlier at a meeting of the Littleton Job Seekers.
Yet another story was already begun at a Westford Job Seekers meeting !
It may have even begun many years ago in Bedford for a company name Digital Equipment Corporation !

How far back do we go when talking about time lines !

A conversation about LinkedIn

I am sitting waiting for a replacement “audio” for my car and decided to spend the two hours accessing Linked In from an iPad. I began with their own app and saw no groups were selectable.
Next I went to FlipBoard and added my LinkedIn account information. Many of my Groups werer there but not the Green Group Boston. So I went to figure why my own Word Press blog could be added to favorites but the Green Group Boston was missing.

There is a concept called “RSS” which takes a Word Press blog and syndicates it. FlipBoard can access this “feed” if it enabled.

I will begin to see why some of my Linked In groups appear and others don’t even though I am logged in with FlipBoard.

I also found a co-worker from early days as a trainer is now a professional Linked In tip presenter.
Patrick O’Malley is an impressive person on his website, on the phone and in person.

He updates his status often on Linked In , sends email to subscribers and in general comunicates in a fun and productive way.

Plug In Week End…

Hypermiling and Acton Toyota Event

SIDE NOTE to readers about readers:
So I had to buy a new reader for my Kodak camera memory.
8 gb SDHC is too big for my current reader.
Vivitar 72-in-1 Card Reader/Writer I selected the Vivitar 72 in 1 at Staples.

It was raining so I skipped the rally.
Instead went to the presentation of Hypermiling by Wayne Gerdes.
It was an interesting talk.
I also took some pictures of the Plug In Prius on display.

So why did I mention the memory reader ?
Kodak logo
Because Kodak is “America’s Story Teller” and this is the story I want to tell…
It becomes harder all the time with all the stories being told in the news and on the Internet to be heard anymore.
But when Acton Toyota brings in a celebrity to explain how to improve your gas milage and the rally is won by a 1990 VW with a gasoline engine I realize there is more than the car involved.

There is a mindset that says we can get improved cost of ownership by just driving more sensibly.
But what will it take to get drivers to slow down ?

Latest news is a car that drives itself.
“Autonomous cars are the future, 2953 Analytics’ Jim Hall says on pages 18-19 of the June issue of Motor Trend”

So where do we go from here ?
Any comments ?

Any readers ?

If you have an Apple iPod Touch or iPhone then this post should interest you. I added it from an iPod touch 2nd generation. The 1st generation crashes in the WordPress application. Some GGB members have iPhones so I will be offering to teach them to blog on the road from events they attend.

I am on an iPad application and creating a post to my WordPress blog.
It is in the News and Hidden categories with no tags.

I edited on a laptop to add an Image from the library…

A landscape view of Cozumel with text.

Cozumel landscape - "Wild Side"

Then created the tag CoolGGBMx
